si seats with tears.... seat covers?
i just bought some si seats for my rex. of courxe like most of them there is a tear in the driver's seat. ( kinda by were your elbow would be). i don't want to spend a whole lot of money and get them totally reupholstered but i also don't want to put those stupid cheap covers on from wal-mart. i want them to look nice but the local shop said it would cost around $600 to reupholster them but he said he could somehow custom fit some type of seat cover. has anyone had this done? please post any ideas or pictures of your reupholstered/covered seats. thanks
Got good old grandma to cut out the pattern form an old ripped si seat I had, and with all the piece she used a stretchy type fabric that feels just like the normal racing seat cloth but stretchy and even stiched SOHC CRX into the heads
Cost me about 80 bucks for the material and I bought my grandma some **** worth like 20 bucks for the sweet job
To bad they were stolen with the car

ive had 3 sets of si seats and the driver seat has been ruined each time. so i get material from extra si seats, foam from a material store, and stitch it up
I'm planning on restitching my seats personally, pops bought an auto apolstry sewing machine lately, I just have to decide on what material to use. You can take the original cloth off and destitch it to make a pattern, it's really not that difficult, it's just the sewing portion that gives people trouble.
