Default hasport or hcp shift linkage question

has anyone noticed a difference in the way their shifting feels when switching to the solid shift linkage?
i got an adjustable one by hcp right now.. and sometimes its hard to catch gears or sometimes grinds.. i was wondering if the ond piece would eliminate some of these issues.
thanks

I went from a HCP adjustable to a HCP non adjustable. It had the 84-87 shifter so it felt like driving a truck, which was one major downfall of it. I did switch to the HCP non adj with ES shifter bushing and GS-R short shifter. It was a night and day feeling. The non adj feels just like stock. I had the same shifter with my SOHC and from what I can remember it feels exactly the same.

Use the one made for your mounts.

I used to have the HCP adjustable linkages in my car, after driving maybe 1000 kms. on them they got all unadjusted and ****** very badly. What I did was adjust them again and then tack welded them in place.

I would say go with the linkages that match your mounts. I now have Hasport mounts so I got Hasport one piece linkages.

go with a non adjustable, theres no reason for it to be adjustable.
i do believe the hcp's are non adjustable now. which is the way it should be.

or find a jdm EF si-r linkage. works perfect with any mount kit.
