all four cylinders are right around 240psi and im still buring ouil i am stummped, does anybody know if the compression that high is normal

 

That compression is abnormally high for a sohc, unless you're running like 11:1 compression. Have you tried a leakdown test?

 

no but is the high compression going to hurtanything?, could my pcv valve because causeing me to burn oil, when i rev it up black smoke cvomes out wich i kno is gas but then when i close the throttle bluegray smoke comes out

I think you should rethink your compression test procedure; in one topic you have 150 across the board, then in the next you have 240. If people are going to give you feed back you need to inform them of everything. I don't mean to flame but you see where this is coming from.

 

your compression is so high because oil is getting into the cylinder or in your compression tester and giving you false readings. if they are all even then consider it a good sign
