how can i identify a gsr cable transmission? i dont have a VIN number to go by so all I have is the transmission to work with. it says ys1-1020009 on it. any help would be great.

If I were to open the tranny casing and count the number of teeth on the final drive. What is the number of teeth that should be there.

basically there is no way to figure it out unless you open up the tranny and count the teeth on the final drive.. but its all been covered before.. im sure you can find the thread that goes into detail about it..

 

isn't the YS1 code on a cable tranny just the LS.... i have 3 YS1's sittin around and they're all LS's

 

Thats why you cant really tell from the code on the tranny.. YS1 is put on more than one type of tranny..

 

just checked, have to go to acura and ask or take apart and look at the ratio's... easy way would be look at the final
