Same things you would check when buying a used car. Leaks, condition, blah, blah, blah...

My 99 Si has about 90K Miles on it ACT HDSS, ACT FLYWHEEL, Rebuilt TrannyBY K20EG, and a AEM Shorty. Brand New PPG Paint Job just to touch it up a bit and thats basicly it. Do you guys think I could aquire more than 5500 because thats what the dealer is offering to give me . I say a good 8-9K would be fair .

I know it is easier to just trade it in atthe dealer but they will not give you **** for your car. Like Bauley said, you can get alot more for your car then the dealer offered $5500. Is that the blue book value for your cars trade in? You might want to try a different dealer.

Don't give in to the dealer Sell the car privately, even if they gave you 8k is better than the 6k the dealer is offering. Not that i would accept 8k if i was u, but to each his own. good luck

They're low balling you, big time. You could get 8-9 by selling yourself.

yes, and then when the dealership runs a carfax and sees the real mileage, they may report you to the police and then you wont have any car

Looks like someone raced a SRT4 and lost, hehe

Anyways, it all depends on how good a deal the dealer is going to give you on the SRT4. The good deal may offset the cheaper trade-in they're offering you. Unlikely, but you never know.

I work at Toyota and see people trade cars in every day, and if I was you I would sell the SI and then go buy the SRT. Even with the miles on the car its still worth more than 5500, especially when the dealer is just gonna turn around and sell it for around $10,000.

any mods will seriously decrease your trade in. i brought my 2000 si in and they wanted to give my 4-5K. mind you there wasnt anything wrong with it. they kept askin if i had used nitrous ever.all it had was an apex n1 exhaust aem intake dc sports header and cam gears. so if its modded sell it privately or you will get raped with no lubrication.

I also think you should sell privately.

"99-00 Si Shift Boot $15+SH"
I'll take it.
