Default eg h22 times not to good

I went to the track on friday night with my bro and one of my friends(drives a Lt1 trans am). Wasnt very happy with the times for the mods that we have done. the best i could do was a 14.6 and my bro did a 14.49. our exhaust was leaking from the header to the cat so that may have some effect preformace wise but probably not much. my digi aint working so i'll copy them straight from the slips. well hopefully next time we go we get better tires to drag in or learn how to launch better and maybe get it tuned and maybe be more prepared with the car.

mods/prep are
striped all carpets seats and spear were out
JDM h22a
15in c8's with aziens at 22 psi
hotshot header
custom/ghetto 2in ebay cat with obx 2.5in inlet with 2in outlet with 2.25 axleback magnaflow exhaust
warbro 255 fuel pump
custome cai with k&N air filter
agx shcks with gc's

Do you find that the Azenis work well at 22 psi?? Everything I've seen seems like they work best at about the factory psi (35ish)

Times do seem a bit slow. You are only pushing 93-97 MPH trap speeds. That definately doesnt seem right. your losing power somewhere. I made 94 MPH trap speeds on a 126 WHP D16Z6 hatchback, with a best of 14.8 if that tells u anything. Also u need to work on your launching technique. As your brothers Et's show he is getting much better launches. I ran 2.20 60 foot times on a 40 degree night at the track with my SOHC 1.6 on stock tires. U should atleast be making that or better on your Azenis. Did u drop your tire pressure immediately to 22 PSI or did u make some runs at a higher PSI? I dont have any experience with the Azenis but what I can tell u is that the tires I have dragged on, 22 PSI is too low. The lowest I go is 28-30 PSI on street tires (not drag radials).

Thats not good for performance.

You have stock ECU (unchipped)? Whats your Fuel Pressure at?

the ecu is a stock p13. fuel presseure im not sure of right now but i am running rich. yeah the rigged up exhaust i think played a big role because i had big exhaust leak. a lot of people run aziens on low psi because of hte big sidewalls it has.

how much do you think that would have an effect on the performance? (the exhaust part of the equation)

If I were you, I wouldn't be running a Walbro 255 LPH without an upgraded fuel pressure regulator. It would be better to run a Walbro 190 LPH because a Walbro 255 LPH pump is too overwhelming for the stock fuel pressure regulator... !

Get an FPR if you don't already have one. And check your ignition timing, etc. The littlest things can make a big difference.

Leaky exhaust (especially from the header) and those shitty 60' times will easily add a full second or more. All I can say with a H22 Civic at the track is practice, practice, practice. You need to get the feel of how your car is going to respond when launching it under certain scenarios and with different tires & suspension setups.
