Initial Mods For Honda Civic GLi
Hey guys.. just searching through and i found ur site... good stuff by the way..
Ive recently bought a Honda Civic GLi.. came stock with tints and 15x7" mags.. so i have something to start on. Ive also installed a pioneer MP3 headunit, Kicker 4" coaxials front and Xplod 5" Coaxials rear. Im looking at an exhaust and pod filter/cold air set-up to try and gain a bit more torque. I have a contact who can get me parts around half price directly imported form japan, so i was looking at getting an Apexi N1 cat-back system, with an adequate high-flow cat. I can get this for $750 AUS.. (it retails for $1100).. I am also looking at an Apexi Power Intake pod-filter, and constructing my own cold air box with its own cold air intake pipe. (same as a factory airbox, just with a LOT less restriction) I get get this filter kit for about $150 AUS when it retails for about $300. Just wondering if anyone has got either or both of these mods, and what gains i can expect from them.. Obviously im weary about spending my money on things that im not sure about.. Im also considering upgrading to a B16A in the future, so i want all mods to be compatible with that engine.. any suggestions?
