Default 98 ls? 93 octane good?

Hi, just recently purchased my 98 ls 4 door. ( yeah whatever, whats 63 more lbs.?) anyways, I was curious does the b18 do alright with 93 octane and no major mods besides an intake? It had been ran with 87, and has 90k miles (one owner, highway miles). I gradually moved it over to 89 . . . . but I mean if its gonna be better for the car thats fine. I'm not expecting any !!!!!!!!!!!! HP GAINS, just wanted to know if any of you knew . . . thanks

why the hell would you put in a higher octane that your car doesn't need at a time when gas prices are this high? your motor is made for 87, use 87.

93 runs your cleaner but if you want ot use 87, that's your perogative.

I like the 4doors just as much as the 2doors. I like the 2doors for the styling and the less weight, but the 4door is a treat because of the extra body rigidy added from the two extra doors. I use 93 octane because its makes the car run a little better than 87 and I dont have to clean the throttle bodie out as much. Their all just get mad cause they can only get 91 octane

I got gas in mexico that was king taco octane...my car ran like a champ...they have good gas south of the border...some places that is...

I think that I get better mileage from 91 then other octanes...but I am a heavy driver...4+ hours a day so its all the same ****..

You don't need 93 octane in your car. But, to answer the question yes I thing the car will still run good.
