hey guys , ok so im driving i turn left and i hear this loud grinding noise, so i stop and see that my driver side axle overextended and the 3 axle bearings are sitting in the road!!!! WHY did it do this??? i had to end up pushing my car super far

oh its an 89 civic Si with B16 swap with Mad engineering mounts

please HELP!!!

 

What axles did you use? 90-93 tegs? Are you lowered at a really odd angle?

 

wait did it pop out from the tanny? or did the boot break? it doesnt seem like a axle could just fall out..

 

ya i have 90-93 teg axles , um im lowered 4 inches

Actually ya the inner boot breaks from the end where it connects to the intermediate shaft

i still dont know why it does this, i mean my driver side wheel is pushed back a tad bit from an accident but i still dont see how it would matter

 

sounds like the axle is too short.. call Mad engineering and find out what the recommend w/ their mount kits.
