Default Who makes this JDM 4-1 header?

Looking at various types of headers on ebay and came across this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting

Anyone have any idea who makes this one or has experienced this header? Anyone try any other ebay no name JDM headers?

I wouldn't buy that since one, it doesn't even have a brand name. I mean you don't have to go out and buy every high priced brand name part but I would just buy something that you know is going to fit with no problem and is going to perform for you needs...

I know this header is most likely a piece junk. I'm just curious who is the source of these "JDM style" headers.

Im probably going to go with a T1R header. I've got a JDM ITR header now but its got a gaping hole in it.

Well point made.....even if it is a JDM "style" . If its cheap and you cant afford something better i say do it, unless you want to save it for something better!

It does not look that bad. I'd bet that fitment and the welds would be suspect though.

I asked the sellers on ebay who makes these headers and one said theirs was made by "KYO" The other said "This is Custom made Header, no brand name. Except the design is based on JDM Type-R Header, Thank you on inquiry !!!
Who knows?

Didn't think you can get much cheaper than the DC Sports JDM 4-1.

i do business with dynamic autosports, and i have purchased a header from them that was a mugen copy....

believe it or not it is in better shape than the comptech header that it replaced

i.e. coloration and flange rust over a years time...

not everything that isnt name brand is junk....

The price is perfect. Ground clearance is not.

My buddy just bought a "Megan" brand header. I'll be sure to post up my thoughts as soon as we get it on his hatch.

I read somewhere about some guy buying one of these ebay headers and when he got it, it wouldnt bolt on correctly to the head as it wasnt level, like the mounting flange was warped, he had to bring it to a machine shop for them to shave it till it was dead straight and would bolt on...i would save some more and at least get a header with a name on it!

Who knows if the actual header is the one pictured? I wouldnt do it they charge a 25% restocking fee and you only have 7 days to figure out if you want to keep it or not. Personally I would stay away and pick up a used one if you are modding on a tight budget.

A friend of mine bought one of the Megan Racing headers for his ls/vtec. I must say the quality is about equal or better than a dc header. I was actually impressed with the welds and fitment. He bought it new for like 150 shipped.
