Default daily driver wheel and suspension setup questions

Alright I finally have enough money to do some stuff to my car, a stock 92 cx, now I know that most of you will say the first thing I should do is swap out the motor ect.., But for I have decided to wait and save up some money for when i am out of highschool to do that, and for now enjoy the good gas mileage. For starters I can't stand how the stock wheels and suspension look on the cx, I want some nicer rims, and suspension system so that my car doesn't look like a mini monster truck. I have read numerous posts about this, but most of them seemed to be geared toward track cars, and for now my car is just going to be a daily driver. Anyways the questions I have concerning the suspension and wheels set up are as follows:
What sized rim would you recomend going with
what suspension would be good for a daily driver, while still being able to provide a small drop
will larger wheels affect my speedometer, odometer, increase gas mileage or decrease it? and will I suffer a power loss become of them, yea I know stock cx has no power to begin with.
How much am I looking to spend on a suspension system, and will it have that "bouncy feeling" described on these forums, and what exactly is this bouncyness, maybe somebody could describe it in greater detail.

I've tried to gather as much info as I could over the last couple of months on these forums, but I'm having a hard time piecing togather some good daily driver, suspension and wheel setup info.

One more thing, where can I purchase the oem mudflaps for my hatchback, and are they paintable.

thanks

I too am in high school, and just put in my tokico illumina suspension kits (front and back shocks struts and springs 1.75" drop). Ran me 470$ shipped from ebay, and the ride is real nice. I live in a subdivision with a ton of cul de sacs and I used to go around em pretty quick and I would feel a ton of body roll, but no more. Real fun to drive. As for wheels im still rockin the stock steelies (14"). When I do upgrade wheels I'm gonna prolly go with 16's (gonna drop a jdm d15b and get a greddy turbo kit first tho). Shouldn't effect your spedometer too bad. It's not like yer gonna be goin 80 or anything when yer speedo reads 60 . Going back to the suspension, if you want adjustability go with a coilover kit. True coilovers are gonna be expensive (600$-1000$), but you can get ground control sleeves and springs for about 300$ shipped (seems to be the chosen coilover of H-tech ).

It was somewhat uneven after I took my car off the jackstands but it is settled now that I drove it around a bit. Try ridin it around with an even load for a bit maybe? (aka 2 or 4 people )

So If I want to be able to adjust the height I would need to get exactly what? the suspension you have doesn't allow you to adjust it is that correct?

i also had it on my car . . . for about a week! i hated the springs in that kit and went for some DropZone coilsleeves on the illuminas and its much better. stiffer, but better performance and drop wise! with the illumina springs, my car was alsmost LIFTED up front! and i didnt have them reversed.

For suspension look into DropZone shocks and coilovers (you need coilovers if you want to adjust the height). I have this setup on my daily driven del sol and it works great. The ride is smooth and won't mess up your spleen . I think BaulyCivic and a few others on here are running AroSpeed coilovers.

You would need to get coilovers if u want to adjust ur height. They come with a lil key and u can adjust them whenever u need to.
