i have a 91 hatchback dx and every once in a while the exhaust smokes, it usually only does it in the morning or when i get on my car.Am i burning to much oil?i cant figure it out!!!

normal just water that in the exhaust system. Water is a bi-product of combustion, its expected. I bet your exhaust also has a small tiny drip first thing in the morning too doesn't it.

As long as it doesnt smell like coolant you're fine.

 

thanks man..if anyone else thinks of anything else that would make it do this let me know.

 

One thing too with time your vavle stem seals will leak very little amounts of oil and cause the car to smoke.mostly right after you start it up in the morning.This is nothing major to worry about unless it starts to get worse
