Default dpfi injector problem

ok my car is a 91 dx. i had wired it up for mpfi but it turned out the ls motor i bought was all fucked up so i got another stock motor and put it on, i couldnt find any mpfi conversion over here so i converted my wiring harness back to dpfi, but then my fuel pump went out and i ended up ripping hte fuel line so i had to take the dash and all the stuff out. so i finally got it back together and everything and i went to try and start it and it didnt start, got compression, got spark but no fuel

so i wasnt getting thrown a code 16 (injectors) but i kinda followed the steps just to see and everything went good, i got power to the red and yellow wires, i got power to the yel/blk wires for 2 seconds, and i got fuel going up to the engine, and thinking the injectors didnt work i hooked them up directly to my battery and they both shot fuel, the primary sprayed fuel and the secondary had a small stream of fuel, so i thought that maybe it wasnt good in the connector so i took both sets of wires out and i plugged them into the injector itself without the connector so i knew i was connected, and still nothing. i just cleaned off hte ground at the thermostat, the valve cover one is connected, and the tranny one is connected

what is wrong with my injectors ? does it matter which side which wire goes on the injectors like yel/blk gotta be on the left or right side, something like that ?

i replaced the main relay already. i thought my main relay went bad, turned out to be my fuel pump so i got a brand new main relay 0 miles on it and only about 20 start up tries.

I think it does matter. Did you try it both ways?

IF it got the same results, then it sounds like a dirty injector with a horrible spray pattern.

the yel/blk wires all need to be on the left side of the plug when looking at the fuel rail from the front bumper. and these should run to your resistor pack.

and do not hook em straight to the battery .

thanks for the response but my car is dpfi not mpfi so i dont got a fuel rail and i dont got a resistor pack.

and i only hooked them up straight to the battery to make sure they worked at all, of course i would never try to run the car that way

BTW - the primary is on all the time. The secondary only comes on at high rpm or under load when extra fuel is needed.

idk what you mean by that. like what im thinking you mean is that its dirty so when i try to start it, its clogged so its not spraying fuel, is that right ? because i did hook it up to the battery and it sparyed fine when hooked up to the battery

Hmm... I read this
"the primary sprayed fuel and the secondary had a small stream of fuel,"

and I get the understanding that the primary has a good "mist" and the secondary just streams fuel instead of misting like it should.

If there is build up inside of it, then it won't spray correctly.

I guess I'm all confused! Myabe what you are you saying that the engine isn't getting fuel when you try to start the car? For some reason the injectors aren't pulsing when they get signal (you said they ARE getting signal) from the ECU?
