Default Will an SRD squish my armrest?

See topic title. Will the seat fit decently, or would I have to get a JDM console (not happening)?

Thanks dude. BTW what color were they? I heard that the regular SRDs will fade faster than the actual ITR JDM Recaros, but I don't want to spend the 6000 bux or whatever people are charging for them these days. Did you experience any fading problems? And you say "had" - did you take them out?

They belonged to GSRgrrl (my girlfriend).
For daily driving they were pretty tight in the leg bolsters, and made getting in and out of the car a pain.(I'm 6' 150lbs.) Also, the material their made from is a absolute bitch to keep clean. But for a race seat, they'd be real nice!

2 srd's will not squish, but you won't be able to use the inboard reclinment ***** with the armrest. you would still have the outboard ones anyway so it dosen't matter.

i knew someone with the red-cloth srd's. lasted him 2 years before the tops turned into this pinkish-orange look. really weird. maybe if you tinted your car it won't happen i dunno. or just go black

Regarding the fading - My lease is only 3 years and I am thinking about tinting anyway. I am torn between red, black, and yella. I think any one of them would look nice considering my car is PY. Do the inboard reclining ***** do anything that the outboard ones don't?

Punk - what color were yours? no fading? I am 5'5", 135 lbs, (JDM bodystyle), would I have decent enough leg room? I don't have woman-hips or anything.

I didn't see any signs of fading. They were used when we got them, and all the cars they were in were non-tinted, so I dont think that'll be a real issue in just 3 years. One other consideration about the seats (the reason gsrgrrl didn't keep them) is for shorter people, the plastic insert that the seatbelts go through(if you have harnesses) were located right where her head hit the seats.(not real safe). Also she had some complaints about the rearward visibility with the seats as well.

Oops...
As for legroom, you should fit just fine. Just know that it forces you to keep your legs close together, where the factory seats let you spread them out some. This got annoying on long drives, but was helpful for "spirited driving".
I HIGHLY suggest you test sit a pair before purchasing.

But WHAT COLOR WERE THEY?

How tall is she? If she's shorter than me it might not be an issue for me.

I will do that. If I can find someone who's got them.

So, the SRD's tend to fade after time right? My car is non-tinted and SERIOUSLY considering buying those! You think the JDM Recaros are better to buy instead, since the quality is different and it'll last longer?

Im just planning to use the Recaros SRD's during car shows and on the weekends!
These arent going to be "daily" seats!

But @ the same time im spending my hard-earned money on these seats! If im going to spend ummm.around $1300 for SRD's and its going to fade after time..umm.. around 2 years then i aint going to buy it! Now JDM Recaro's USED cost around $1500-1700 i think (correct me if im wrong) but its only a couple of hundred dollars difference????

****, i'll spend a couple of hundred just to make sure that the seat will last long!Hopefully can JDM Recaros last longer than the SRD's since it has diff. material??

What do you guys think??? Should i buy JDM Recaros or SRD's??

Please help guys, Im Serious buying these seats? Any opinions??Remember i dont have non-tinted windows, so that can be a factor!

Thanks!

I have red Recaros. What I do is just put a beach towel over the when I leave the car. However, I dunno if I take a long trip though...

-Aoib0t, who wouldn't what to do in that situation. Tint would be nice darn UV!

How long have you had your Red SRD's and is it a "daily" seat? Do you have 2 seats or 1 seat?

Has yours ever fade? If so then why and WHERE do you put your beach towel on? The headrest or the bottom?

They were black. I'm about 5'2". They were great looking seats, but for all the reasons that Punk already stated. They were not faded at all, but be careful, they ARE a bitch to keep clean.
