Default 1989 crx hf d16a6 went to the track 1/4 mile times inside and specs

hondaguyef and i went to track. Here are our times
1989 crx hf d16a6
22 x 8 x 13
1000 lbs nuespeed springs in back on blown shocks
2/14 exhaust
generic header
gsr intake with k & n filter
93 octane gas

here are the timeslips...ill get a picture of it later with my camera

hondaguyef

r/t .219 .045
60' 2.255 2.143
330 6.297 6.145
1/8 9.676 9.498
mph 73.09 73.68
1000 12.581 12.378
1/4 15.073 14.848
mph 90.63 91.50

deftones0817 (me)
r/t .574
60' 2.098
330 6.155
1/8 9.553
mph 73.04
1000 12.481
1/4 14.984
mph 90.34

i dont think that is bad for my first time ever at the track. I pulled 2.0 60' ft time

we only got 3 runs in because hondaguyef lost out on the dial in. We will be back next weekend and we are hoping for a 14.7 or 14.6. I think with a little more practice we can pull it off. Look at that mile per hour.

Good Times!!!

Some people here will be calling BS, but they're believable to me

The HF is a frickin' light *** car

I gunnin' for mid 14's in my 88 HF with SOHC ZC/SR909 cam and slicks

Can't squeeze until I get another helmet

That 2.0 60' is amazing.

It's believable. There's a kid up here that pulled a 14.8 with a basically stock A6, in a heavy 90 Si. He hits 15.0's on streets.

Put some stocks on and do a run. I want to see what it does without the slicks. 15's? Good time though.

can't wait to see what it will do with my b18c1 with some head work and ctr cams. Wish the machine shop would hurry up with my springs and retainers!!

Have you weighed the car with that setup? I'd be curious to know what that thing weighs.

My "Heavy" 90 Si came in at 2030lbs with gutted rear interior and 1/2 tank.

My 88hf weighs 1860lbs with dohc zc, full interior, and A/C. if only I could rid of my code 9 I would take mine to the track.

I couldn't believe it either! I have driven many times at the track and thought I had a decent 60'(2.1) until he ran and pulled the 2.0! I was like"how the hell did you do that"? When I ran the 14.8 I bogged it a little off of the line but basically 4500 and drop and still only pulled a 2.1! I don't know how he did it. Oh yeah, He didn't even heat the slicks up!!!!!!!!!!

must suck loosing against a car that pulls a 10sec time.

2.0 is good. Truly good driving in that case, for a first time you must be a natrual.

Nope, it's called a handicap. I never even saw the other car.

But, he is a good driver for his first time......Maybe just beginers luck
