Well, the term si says it all: "sport injection". This tranny is a much sportier version, so it will feel a bit better, and I believe you are correct with the final gear being higher.

Well i have the Si model (91) and i test drove a Dx for my GF a few months back..getting in there and driving it was..well boring. Then as soon as i got back in my CRX (its stock also) i noticed snappier acceleration and it seemed to have noticable power...so i'd have to say yes...get the tranny!

Yeah i've got a Y8 in my crx with stock 88 dx tranny, can't wait to get on the 90 Si tranny that's sitting in my garage and see what the difference is. Hopefully a lot! Haha, anyone here have times on same engine with both trannies???

there isnt as big of a difference as i thought there would be.. the biggest difference i noticed was on the highway.. about 4000 rpm @ 78-80mph. ive heard it gives u a .5 sec et improvement, but i doubt its that much. i got mine for $175 shipped, w/ 90k miles, & no grinds
