Default Just swap 2000 GSR motor in My 98 GSR.......some problems

I just took the car out for a drive. It runs good except the tach doesn't work + I don't think the secondaries are working either. I used the 2000 Engine harness that came on the motor. Is there anything different there from the 98->00 harness? I know the ECU plugs are different but I didn't think anything would be different with the engine harness.

Let me add that the VAFC I have installed in the car shows RPM...but the tach doesn't move at all.

Does the speedometer work? Does the cluster light up? Maybe it's a faulty connection.

It's running the stock 98 ECU. The other gauges work just not the tach. Also the secondaires don't work at all. But If I ground the wire going to the ECU the vacum accuator moves so for some resound the ECU isn't turning them on.

Found the problem.......
The 98-99 GSR's get the tach signal from the Distributer.
The 00-01's get the signal from the ECU.
So the 00-01 harness is not the same as the 98-99
