Is there anyway to get access to the wiring of the stock deck in this coupe? I just got it yesterday and I'm going to be moving my subs from my old car to this one. I wanna keep the stock deck however because I like the steering wheel volume and track controls and I hear if you have a third party deck there is usually compatability issues.

Anyway, I've messed around a little bit under the dash and there are a couple removeable pannels, but nothing that will expose the back of the deck. There was, however, some sort of junction box on the right side of the center console that was accessible from the passenger side. I'm not sure what that was. I can provide pics if need be.

Also, I'm not sure if this deck has preamp outs. Can anyone cofirm that? If not isn't there some kind of adapter for decks that don't have preamp outs?

And lastly, do you think I should just have some professional do this for me? I'm kind of afraid to let someone else do this because I know some people do a shotty job, but I also don't want to ruin my dash because maybe I don't have the right tools or whatever. Well, that's about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

Alright, I got some help on another forum. If anyone is interested all you need, if you don't want to replace your head unit that is, is a line output converter. You can stick your subs and amp in your trunk and run the line output converter off of your rear speakers (easily accessible) and then just run that to your amp.

no preamp outs. you have to use line out converters from the speaker wire. id take it to a proesseional, as cars now are becoming more integrated, they have the knowledge to do it right.
just dont take it to bestbuy, etc.
