Default Head Unit off- Lound Bass Sound

When I turn my (stock honda cd player) head unit off, I get a loud bass sound from my subs. Any ideas?

I have 2 10" Alpine TypeRs, and a kenwood amp.

the dreaded amp thumpoff. I believe stinger makes something that can stop that. I can give you a part number or name on monday after work.

You can make one with a diode and a small capacitor on your remote turn on lead.

Thanks for the replys, but I think you think that I mean a slight bass sound. This is sustained and only stops when I turn on my head unit.

How much better did your system sound when you got your new HU? Was there a big improvement?

I have an alpine and there is no comparison from stock HU to after market. I could turn the stock HU all the way up and still was not loud enough. Alpine has much better sound quality. ALso replace your stock speakers too if you have not done that already.

YES!!

they have either a 1/2 second, 1 second, 2 second pause... this will stop your system from having voltage "bursts" or some **** like that.
