possible reasons why all windows/locks/side mirrors don't work?
I bought my '97 LS for $3200 almost a month ago, which was a steal considering the bluebook on it was around $8k (the dealership only made around $180 off the sale, muhahua). Part of the reason why I got is so cheap was the fact the power mirrors/windows and side view mirrors didn't work. I figured it was the window control box. I managed to buy one off of Ebay from a GS-R for $3, but that didn't fix anything. I know for a fact that all the window motors work and so do the locks and mirrors because I jumped the connections myself and found them working.
What else could cause all of these lovely features in the hot summer not to work? (Even though the car's AC is bitchin'.) I'm thinking the window control box I Ebay'd went bad itself so I'll be looking for another one and I'll be hitting the junkyards around here.
If anybody has any ideas I'd appreciate it, because I'd hate to buy a brand new control box from the local dealership for $163 (and that's at cost!) and find out it was something else.

Have you checked fuses 4 through 8 (all 20A) in the under dash fuse box? These control the power windows and door locks. Have you verified 12VDC at the door control switch?
I did check the fuses under the dash and under the hood when it was on the lot, they were all good. And the window box I bought off of eBay was identical to the one I pulled from my door panel (it smelled like smoke, so I assumed it went bad).
