Usually you'd go the other way around...pick out the springs you want, then find a complementary shock.

But if you want to do it this way, Illuminas will work great with just about any spring you choose. They'll hold up to stiffer spring rates, and since they're adjustable, you can adjust them to complement softer rates as well...depending on how you like your ride.

How do you think they'd work with some H&R's w/ about a 2.25-2.5" drop?

They should do fine with that setup, although for the $...I'd probably suggest Koni's over the Tokico's. Are you looking at the H&R race spring set?

I have Skunk2 coilovers with Illuminas in the rear, and they seem to do a great job with the fairly stiff Skunk2's. The only reason that I suggest the Koni's is because the H&R race springs have a stiffer spring rate than the Skunk2 coilovers, and Koni's can handle higher rates than the Illuminas can.

Yup, its the Race springs. Best I can get koni's for is almost $1k CDN, and for the tokico's, its only $400. Thats why im looking at them.

I would also do a search here on H-T, and find out if any other users have that combo (H&R Race with Illuminas) and find out what they think about it, how it's holding up, etc. I think it should be a good setup, but I'd just make sure if I were you.

Thanks for the reply. I'll do some research.

Ive always been meaning to get the konis, but for the price, I think I might give the tokico's a shot.

For the Neuspeed Sport springs, either shock would be good. I have Neuspeed sports for sale, $80 for the set, check my sig .

For the Neuspeed Race springs, I'd even be a little sketchy about using the Illuminas, even though they're more durable than the AGX's. The Neuspeed Race rates are REALLY high (in the 500's) for a street car, and they've got a really low drop to them. Go with Koni's if you can for that particular setup...
