I am planning on paintin my GSR fat fives tomorrow and I have bought 2 cans of aircraft remover, one can of primer and 2 cans of flat black spray paint...my question is...when i spray on the aircraft remover, how long should I let it sit on the rims and how should i clean it off after that? also do you have to sand the primer after u spray it on or just paint it? any help would be appreciated!
It shouldn't take long at all for it to start working. Maybe 10-15 min, then I would use a wire brush of some kind to scrape the excess off. Be sure to wear gloves! that **** is nasty!
no joke wear gloves. that **** burned a hole in my skin like whoa! use a wire brush as said above and spray off with high pressure water.
If it gets in your eyes go to the hospital. Saw this kid using it one time(aircraft paint remover) and ice didn't bring down the swelling,i was lol though. Kid did't go blind thanks to eye flush and the emergency room.

wear goggles and a mask haha... dont do that **** outside if its windy... it blew on my face once ... lesson learned..... u can feel instant burning haha... i ran to the fauccet and drowned my face with water... luckily it worked
ok, if i use this on rims, can i mask the tires, and then scrub the paint/polish off?
and stupid question, since the finish is stripped or would be stripped, would the rims rust at all?

no need to mask tires, they wont do anythign to it... besides the remover will eat through the tape like nothing so it will be obsolete... basically u just spray it on and let it sit for like 10 minutes rinse it off, and it will always have spots that were missed, so just spray it again witht he remover and repeat teh process... some occasional scrubbing would ease the process as well.... rims should not rust if theyre made of alloy which most likely they are

Heh... man up! When I used that **** on a valve cover, I had rubber gloves on, but the damn wind was blowing (wasn't going to spray that **** inside the shop) and the wind blew some mist onto my leg (wearing shorts). Kinda had that burning sensation but I just sprayed water on it afterwards
But I do agree about the goggles/glasses part, especially if you use it outside.

nope not at all .. . i wouldnt recommend doing it with tires on. . .i was gettin new tires so it worked ot for me.. kind of made the side walls a lil bubbly. . . you can do it though, i dont think it will harm it.. just spray really closely and try NOT to get it on the tires..
and like said up above.. if its windy outside DONT DO IT! go in teh garage if you HAVE to do it
