Default Destroyed my motor b18b

Today i was driving my G2 and the tranny is a bit fucked(syncroz are mashed to bits) up so when i pulled through 1st into second I tried getting it into 3rd and it refused. so i jammed it in then....**** it was in first instead of 3rd and killed exhaust valves i think. so i dont know what i should do i wanted to sell the car and get a 3rd gen after painting it which i was going to do 2marrow and now i dont think its worth the trouble of putting anymore money into? The valves are totaled and it still runs but the exhaust is extreamly rich and putts. What should I do?????

Time for a rebuild all the way around. Sucks that it had to happen, but in the long run, it will be beneficial to you buy having it all rebuilt & having no problems down the road.

slow down dude. if your brain works the same way as your grammar, you got more to worry about than just the b18b dude.

if your tranny was already a mess, why were you driving your car hard? Do any sort of jamming and you are only to blame for what happens.

You can find complete B18B heads for like $100. Hell I have four of em

just pull and replace.

yeah, LS heads are a dime a dozen. i have about 5 sitting around that i will be trying hybrid valves to attempt to flow the head better. i need some money to get these things (lash caps, new honda valves, stainless valves, etc) so i reconditioned a few that had been milled .030" and has new seals. blasted valves, machined valve seats, machined valves, reconditioned springs, retainers, and spring seats.
275 shipped. i also have another head that i can do everything and mill only like. 003 to resurface it so it wont raise the compression for 250 shipped
definately time for a rebuild all around though

haha, yes just pull and replace. cuz when you smash the **** outta your vavles with your pistons, they are still good. haha, sorry, had to flame on ya man, but when ppl say dumb ****, its hard to resist.

definatly rebuild ls vtec if everything checks out ok w/ the crank, rods, etc etc. good luck, btw, you sure it didnt jam cuz you didnt have any clutch fluid? cuz that what it sounds like.

How strong are the vavles compaired the pistons dip ****?

Unless he dropped a valve, they are fine.

I have pulled heads MANY times after piston-valve contact and the ONLY time there were even MARKS on the piston, was when the engine had thrown a rod at TDC and the valves beat the piston back down.

If you don't have experiance, don't act like you know anything fucktard.

alright well to answer a few questions: I dont have a hydraulic clutch its cable and the reason for the need to cram the gears around is they have no syncroz helping them anymore!, I also want to just get rid of the vehicle so putting more cash into it is not something i am very interested in doing. So basically to restate my question What could i do to fix the horrible sound of valves smackin around in the heads while spending the least amount of cash possible. so i can sell the beast for a new G3 integra, I just dont know what to do Im stuck cause im not sure of any torque specs, or helpful info for the R&R of my beat up heads.

Do exactly what these guys have been telling you. Buy a used head and slap it on. Thats your cheapest route.

find an ls head that someone has laying around. buy it. put it on. HT has all the info you need when it comes to a head swap, especially LS-->LS. its a pull and replace. take a bunch of pictures. undo some wires, vacuum lines, swap over the IM. clean the deck surface, put everything back on. thats pretty much (not a step by step) how to do it. tq specs are like 25 then 63 i believe. but they are on here. just search.

It's a little bit more than buying a head and slapping it on.

damn guys u just are never going to believe this but yeah i took apart the heads and the valves were all perfect so (exact words of frustration...****) i then followed by putting new gaskets back on after inspecting the mess of honda parts i found zero problems.
I followed the reassembly of my motor with running it again and what do you know still their maybe even worsening at this point.... so i took apart the valve cover and believe it or not a retaining screw from the rocker arms on the 1st piston exhaust valve went rocketing off its stud and into the direct path of a spring.
Is this not the craziest thing you have ever heard the adjuster screw then just freely spining was all outta whack and after putting it all back together im very relieved only a few gaskets later and few dollars later my LS b18 is back in racing order...Thanks guys although your help wasnt directly used it still pushed me to get to the bottom of this mess and i enjoyed taking apart my engine and learning along the way.. thanks again
