Default PIVOT CIG LIGHTER SHIFT LIGHT ACCURACY

Just curious if anyone has tested the accuracy of
the Pivot Shift Light which hooks up to the Cig Lighter?

http://www.autospeed.com/shop/...91009

Is this thing as accurate vs. a normal shift light that
is hooked directly to Dizzy/coil?

Anyone do a test with both ways hooked up at the same time.
Any RPM difference?

***tried to search but could not find topic on accuracy with this light,
If there is one post link.

Thanks!!

You can buy a regular shift light for less than half the cost of that thing, and they only have 3 wires to hook up.

You are Absolutly correct, but If I can get away with running any
additional cables Id rather do that. I already have enough extra cables
all over the place, ie batter relo, stereo, alarm, etc..

Thats why I want to see if anyone out there has one of these or similiar
that hooks up to only your cig lighter and would like to
know how accurate are these.

Would be much easier to tap in cig lighter/dc power source and hook up that
small light somewhere and make it look clean.

Thanks for your input.

Makes no sense though... Cuz you could still tape into the same wires for the other shiftlights, except for the negative coil reading, which is part of that same harness to.

I had one, used it for about a month or so and took it out. I will sell it to you if you want. It is the blue shift light.

Works ok, just a pain to adjust/set, but once you got it it's nice. It's real bright too, but you can adjust the brightness. I just switched to a full tach with shift light.

E-mail me at Matrix_zero@hotmail.com, i'll sell if for 30+ shipping. Let me know.

I can send you a pic of it if you want... if i can find me a camera to take the pic with.

It sounds to me more like you're afraid of ******* up if you run a better more practical, more acurate, more inexpensive, somewhat harder to set up shift light. Just admit it, you're a *****.

There is literally no ******* reason to do this. Unless you like more complex less effective ****. I don't even know why anyone would want a shift light, but I guess if you do, here's some reasons why this thing is a piece of ****.
1) You lose your Cig Lighter (How are you supposed to smoke in your car with your windows up?! Or even use it for accessories like radar detector, cell charger etc)
2)You have some excess stupid looking box like you're driving the god damn Back-to-the-Future car. It's something for girls to stare at and say "Ooo whats that?" and then one of of them who knows half a **** about cars looks at it and says "Why didn't you just get a regular shift light *****?" You'll feel like crap.

**That box/unit is so huge I had to pull out my seats to fit it in my car LoL!!!
And I had to drill holes to mount it on my dash? LoL

If you cant answer my original question then dont say anything idiot.

B2,

Thanks for your input to my question. I got it about 1 week ago and it
works perfect, nice and small.... Not riced out with some huge light..

Unit is smaller than a cigarette pack / light is very small but bright as hell!! And the adjustment on the light brightness is awesome.
