Default Transmission Question

Pondering an Auto to Manual Swap, I can prob get free labor so i'm still looking at parts.

I have an LS btw...will a GSR tranny mount up to it? Just in case I happen to find one...

Do i need new transmission mounts? if so where can I find them

gsr tranny will bolt up, all b-series tranny mounts are the same (manual tranny's.) can find tranny mounts at acura/honda or on forums. you'll also need ecu, linkage, and the whole clutch hydraulic system (master/slave cylinders, all lines, etc.)

If your switching to a manuel do it right the first time. Get a GSR tranny, a lot better gearing

Does anyone know for SURE whether or not the transmission mounts are the same for manual and automatics?

i'd love to get a gsr, but for now i just wanna get whatever i can for cheap and install it...i'm gonna learn how to drive stick really well, then get a new clutch and maybe tranny down the line

no you will need to either reweld the top mount or get the place racing one for the auto conversion....and you will also need the front and rear mounts from a manual car as well
