cold air intake question !!
i have a 91 honda crx si...im about to put a b16A motor in...here is the question..what car model should i order my intake from...example..del sol, intergra..etc...????? thanx ..barry11j
The problem is they dont make one for the B16 into a Civic/CRX Chassis...
Your Options are... Smaller battery(or relocation) and intake from a 99-00 SI
I believe you can use the one for the d series but its smaller in diameter

I just did a B16a swap into a 1989 Civic Si w/ Hasport mounts, I used a new AEM CAI for a 99-00 Civic Si and it was kind of a pain. I had to enlarge the hole in the passenger side hole of the engine compartment and slide the CAI up through the bottom, which in turn scratched the hell out of the intake tube. Also had to install the filter on first because the fitment onto the tube is really tight. The only thing holding it in from shifting around is where it clamps to the throttle body, there isnt anything else stopping it from shifting around at this time. One more thing is the intake has a hole in it that you are supposed to swap over the intake air temperature sensor which I couldnt do, so I just stuck a tight fitting bolt in there to seal it up. I'll get some of there issues corrected in time, I just wanted to let you know it does just fit in there perfect.

It shouldn't be that hard, you have to have the filter off, then you slide the intake threw the hole and place the filter on and slide it onto the throttle body.

I thought aem started making them for hybrid cars. However I used a 99-2000 si and it worked fine. Made my own little bracket using one the battery tray bolts and plugged up the hole for the iat with a plug I found at a hardware store. In my car there was no enlarging of any holes and it fits great. It was also very easy to do. I also used a smaller battery from heeltoe racing.

Ya, for the best performance you should get the AEM intake made for a b16a in a crx chassis. Like said above. Its new. I like using stock parts, I used the intake arm that came with the swap, and the crx air box cut open, with a drop in filter. Ryan
