If he must choose between a manual transmission conversion and a supercharger...

I think he would be happier with the supercharger...has he not considered turbo?

turbo>supercharger...more fun at least

Then again, who knows how long the Automatic will last. Automatics suck ***** to begin with. Honda Automatics suck bigger *****, like donkey ***** for example. Then a Forced Induction motor with a Honda Automatic sucks even bigger p3nis, like whale p3nis.

So...

Automatic = *****.
Honda Automatic = donkey *****.
Honda Automatic w/ FI = whale p3nis.

Enough said.

IMO, do Manual Transmission conversion.

i'd do the manual swap, then make a custom turbo.
he should have enough money left over to put one together.

Hmm... How would a blow'd d16z6 work? Would it be better than a turbo? Anyone know the pro's/con's?

For the amount of a BRAND new supercharger kit, you could get a nice used tranny and piece together a custom turbo kit.

Tranny conversion first, then boost. He will have so much fun from switching the auto tranny out.

for 2gs you can do a 5spd swap with a nice clutch and home made turbo kit.

I have a Jackson on my d16z6 with my AEM EMS and some other goodies (DSM 450's, Kamikaze 2.5") it screams for my little get around street car. Never ran it in the 1320 but it has over 2 to the tire. Manly stock internal. If you're any good at engineering and/or mechanical, fabriacation superchargers are preferred. Most steer away becasue the things that you can do are not "bolt-on" or "plug and pray"
