Default My Koni Ground Controls arrived, do I have everything?

I received my GC suspension for Koni shocks yesterday, but I'm wondering if they sent me everything. Do the Koni GC sleeves sit directly on the snap ring, or is there a separate adapter that sits on the snap ring, and then the sleeve sits over that? Here's what I got:

^^^ see that machined lip there, does that sit on the Koni snap ring, or is it a separate adapter?

*edit* also, do the longer sleeves go in back? They arrived in the box w/ the shorter rear springs on the longer sleeves, and the longer front springs on the shorter sleeves.

Umm, my friend got the Ground Control coilovers a while ago for his car. I am pretty sure thats EVERYTHING right there, so don't worry about that. But about the snap ring, no idea . Good luck

These are Koni-specific, though. The regular spring perch for the shocks is not used, and the sleeves are supposed to sit directly on the snap rings (normally the regular spring perches sit on the snap rings). Anyone else?

$339 + shipping direct from Ground Control, no extra charge for custom spring rates.

there should be a black ring that fits into that machined lip and then that sits on the koni's c clip/snap ring. i am redoing my suspension right now actually and I have the same set up you are going with and you should have small black sleeves that go into those threaded sleevs. Hope that answers it for you.

yeah I second this...there is a black ring that goes inside the sleeve there. It sits on the c-clip already on the Konis.

Better to catch this now at least

Yeah I probably won't be installing these for at least another week anyway, until I can get some new bumpstops and dust covers that will fit inside these springs (offroad shock style dust covers).

Nevermind now, I was just talking to the guy that built my kit, he said these new Koni sleeves match the O.D. of the Koni shock exactly and don't require an adapter. hell yeah, that'll make it even more like a full coilover setup.

you know...i was going to say that maybe they've updated the design...makes sense

cool...I don't run covers but I did put the bumpstops on as per their directions.

yeah my bumpstops are disintegrated into dust from being too low, and it's looking like new OEM ones are my only option for replacing them, as I can't find any aftermarket polyurethane ones that would fit correctly.

depending on where you live and the type of climate you drive the car in you might want to remove the allen head set screw and soak it with anti-seize to keep it from getting stuck in the future.

everyone always complains about that happaning so i took the extra 5 miniutes to remove them all and coat the threads and head with anti-seize.....

p.s. you gonna love the ride qualitly of these springs once you raise it back up to a decent ride height. i had H&R sports and it rode so stiff and horrible. now it seems to ride like stock.

Well I like the ride height where it is, but the spring rate of the H&R's is too soft for it to be that low, which is one of the reasons why I went w/ the stiffer rate GC's.

And once I get the height set (and hopefully cornerweighted eventually) I will not be adjusting it. The whole point of adjustable height suspension is to get the car to optimum balance, not to be changing the ride height all the time.
