WHAT A DEAL....and I missed it
Hey guys, just wanted to let you guys know what kind of amazing deal I just missed out on....
Last wednesday, I was at a car auction and I came across a black 94 GSR. The body was in mint condition, and the engine, clutch, and tranny, were working perfectly. The only negative was 193k miles, in which i wasnt worried about. The car was dropped about 1 1/2 inches and it had the stock 5 spoke GSR wheels painted bronze. This car was absolutely gorgeous.
As I'm at the block with my buddy who has a dealers license, I tell him to bid on the car. He starts bitchin and moanin about not having enough in his checkbook to buy me a car and still buy cars for his lot. I told him that I had the cash on me to pay for the car on the spot but for some reason, he didnt seem to care. As we're arguing back and forth, the GSR comes up for bidding. To make a long story short, he did not bid on the car for me and it sold for $3100. ARGGGGGGGGGGGH. For that price, I could've had a fun time driving the car for a couple of months and still sold the car for more than I paid for it. Man was I angry but you get over these things.
P.S. If any of you guys know of a car that fits that description or are a previous owner, let me know about all the **** that was wrong with the car so I don't beat myself up over missing out on this deal. BTW, the auction was in Connecticut

guess its your first auto auction.
On the surface, the car may look like a real deal but you wont know how the car runs or what work it needs until you have it in your possession.
Used car dealers see these deals quite often.

o believe me i know this. I mean, this wasnt my first auction, and i know what i could have possibly been getting into, but to the extent of my prodding, the car was as mint as could be, especially for the price. no visible leaks, the driver said the clutch was fine, tranny wasnt grinding, no absurd noises, oil was clean, no water in it. Even though this doesnt mean that the car was definately in 100% mint condition, it was close enough for $3k
It sucks missing out on a good deal. But trust me when I see this, there is a better deal somewhere else. There are cars everywhere and you can always find a great deal if your patient. Just keep searching, it took me 3 years to find the perfect GSR for myself and my stingy needs
I'm sure there is another great deal out there but the thing is, I was not shopping for an integra, nor do I intend on in the near future. I already have a 92 teg but im searching for an IS300. The GSR was just going to be something to hold me over til I find the IS. I've been patient for 6 months and I still cant find a Blk on Blk 5speed. 5speeds arent too plentiful and certainly not in the CT area.
