Actually.. We noticed that there is a crack in the transmission today due to overtightening of the cap on the end of the tranny that wasn't supposed to be removed.. they torqued it on and cracked it..

This caused a leak of tranny fluid, could low tranny fluid cause the vss to mess up due to lack of lubrication?

anyone selling an LS tranny

Its most likely the wire connection. (vss plug) I had the same problem. Check the plug for corrosion.
