Default d15b with multiport running VERY rich

d15b with milled a6 head and multiport from d16a6 currently running pg7 ECU. pr4 and pg7 both tried and it is running rich as hell. also, the milled a6 head made the cam timing advanced 1/2 tooth, could that be the cause?

yes, if you mill the head the high compression change can definately affect your ful supply and/or fuel timing and pressure, i had that problem too once

How much did you mill? Only enough to get it flat???

I doubt it's the mill job

If anything the PG7 runs rich even with the stock D16A6

Both those ecus are going to make your car run rich. I'd get the pr4 chipped if I were you, with the pm6 maps. Running rich has nothing to do with anything mechanically in your case.

Not completly sure but dosen't the DPFI and the MPFI use different MAP sensors? was that changed with the swap?

I had the same problem when I had the MPFI swap wired. Turns out I wired the crank angle sensor incorrectly, had wires backwards, so two injectors were throwing LARGE amounts of fuel. Lucky my engine didn't screw up. Maybe distributor wiring?

ok, umm i just checked for codes. there is one blink , then a pause. then there are nine fast blinks and it repeats itself over. what does this mean? i looked in the faq and still couldnt figure it out.

o2 sensor and CYP Sensor. Replace your o2 sensor and check your wiring on the distributor. If its not the wiring then you need a new distributor.

I told you why you're running rich. It's your ECU. I've ran both of them on a ZC and they were both rich, and that engine has need for more fuel than yours. Fix your error codes, then get a better ECU or get your pr4 chipped.

nope. i had a pr4 with pm6 maps in there. so ill assume a pm6 wont do much. zc ecu will make it run rich, but it wont blow out crazy smoke. the only difference between pm6 / pg7 / pm7 / pr4 are minor timing and fuel curves.
