Default short wire

how can i find my short wire in the system since it killed my battery and my starter too, later this evening my uncle test it out with this machine he has and it tells me i have a short somewhere. so i was wondering how can i find my short? my uncle saying that most short could be in the dome lights......i dont know where , So help me

Check your alternator! I spent about a month trying to hunt one down and it turned out to be actually inside the alternator.

To actually find the short, pull out each fuse to try to isolate the circuit. Then when the short stops, you'll know which circuit it came from.

Then trace those wires with your multimeter.

Did this just randomly show up, or have you messed with stuff?

well i pulled the wholw wire from the 91 si cabin and translate it all in the 90 dx so i can have si system in there and somehow it just killed my battery and my starter,this morning i jump cable it from the other battery the car starts right up

and the car ran fine last week and drove fine and i am not good at wire stuff check up and i never did this before

i just thought up a item, does a bad alt cause a short ?
