Default oil consumption problem on 99 GSR

i recently changed my oil and after 250 miles of spirited driving, i went to the gas station and filled up. while refueling i checked my oil level and it was right at the first dot on the dipstick. also, i noticed the bumper is covered in black soot. my mods are as follows: vortech fuel rail, dc sports 4-1 header, carsound cat, apexi n1 exhaust. my car is not throwing a code and i have excellent gas mileage ~30 miles per gallon.

my friend told me under hard acceleration my exhaust has alot of black smoke coming out of it. it could be the wrings but it's hard to believe that a motor with 30,000 miles on it would be that bad. what do you guys think?

Hm..Do you have the knowledge and tools to do a compression check?

A compression check/ leak down test will tell you exactly.

I'm thinking it COULD be valve stem seals.

If the car only has 30,000 miles it should still be under warranty, right?
