6 psi Turbo charging a d16a6
Yes you can do that.
The Greddy kit is offered with or without the IC.
YES - it would be worth it!
Put an IC on later - colder charge is better than warm.

theres the site that shows u how to put the 92-95 civic greddy turbo kit in a Ef basicly the only part thats a pain is cutting a lil square off the crossmember cause the pipes hang a lil low (charge)

Im sorry but i think the greddy kit sucks...u get no power out of it...all d series motors run slow as hell...do urself a favor...and this will save u the 1500 bucks that would spend on a **** greddy kit....go to johnnyracecar.com for the front mount...go to a speed shop near u see if they have any used turbos...or if they have any that might be blown....if it is blow u can have it rebuilt for 250 bucks or so...buy a rev-hard manifold...and purchase the needed intercooler piping , bov, and waste gate...total kit shouldnt run u more then 900 bucks...and it will allow much more flow and hp then that garbage greddy kit...here is why people think the greddy kit is good...its "reliable" yea thats great and everything...but "fast" is alot differnt then reliable...

I don't think the GReddy kit a a bad option, but don't expect huge numbers fom it. I'm in the middle of fabing my piping right now and I'm having a blast. It's really fun buying everything piece by piece the stacking the **** in your room for months while you save $. Then throwing it all in is really rewarding. I would (and did) build my own system, but the option is yours. Either way, one more boosted Honda
I have a friend that did this whole job (baby Mitsubishi 6psi turbo, piping, blowoff valve, HF header) for $250 and a few hours of time. Why would anyone pay $1500 for a little 6 psi turbo setup? You could buy a better engine and swap parts for that. This turbo setup is meant to be a cheap upgrade. A way to get a 60 hp increase quick. 70 stock hp (Civic STD) + 60 hp (cheap turbo setup) = 130 hp. A B16 swap would get you 160 hp. Not to mention it would be a DOHC good motor instead of an SOHC Economy D-Series turd motor. The turbo setup is a good idea for someone with an under-performing Honda wanting to spice it up a bit. It is not some awesome SPANK-YOUR-STUPID-CAMARO-SS-***-CAUSE-I-GOT-A-TURBO-HONDA thing.

Again, 900 bucks? ZC motor swap for the same amount.
Go spend $1400 on a baby turbo setup. You will still get beat by V-8s, Integras, and even '94 Si's. I wish I had $1400 in pocket change to throw away. Hell, you could go buy a whole 91 Civic for $1400.

i spent about $900 on my turbo setup. It will blow the ******* doors off of a ZC swap "for the same amount". It will blow the doors off of a b16 swap, b18c swap, LSVTEC swap, and whatever gay setup you have.

By the way, I spent the same thing on my setup, which I should have running in a week.

Hey does this set up work on a DOHC ZC or is it the SOHC VTEC ZC only? from what i heard the DOHC has low compression and therefor is better for Nos or turbo..but i'd rather go turbo
What engine do you have to start with? A base Civic hatch @ 70hp with a baby 6psi turbo is the deal here. Yes, turbocharging a good Honda setup leads to fast cars. However, the issue here taking a stock D-series motor and adding a small turbo, running low boost (6 psi) so as to not blow the engine, just for the purpose to add 60 hp quickly. It works the same for those little Japan-only cars that have 65 hp with turbo. Just because you have a turbo doesn't make it fast necessarily. A turbo B16 or B18 setup corrcetly will be a quick little car. A D15B1 with turbo will be able to keep up with daily traffic once the turbo spools up. Again, a CHEAP upgrade for under-performing Hondas.
