Default CRX Fluidyne Radiator porblem!

Before you say search, I already have. I'm trying to put a 92-95 civic radiator in a 90 CRX with a turbo, but I having issues with hood clearance. The bottom hits the cross member, if I notch out the cross member will it be weak? I don't really wanna mess with the crossmember. Is there any other solution to my problem?

Keep searching. It's been covered. Try searching ARCHIVES.

Some posts have pics of cars where the framing under the hood has been cut. Some CF hoods don't have that stuff to begine with so the radiator clears.

notching the x member i s ok but you should have a piece of steel to weld up the notches after. I put the same radiator in too but I have a CF hood and cut out the under bracing

z10 crossmember w/92 rad mounts.. will work fine with stock hood, but may require some mods to cf hood if you have one.
