Default my second DIY CF project (pics inside)

so as you can all tell ive been messing around with cf stuff lately. ive been using diff products and stuff.. some have come out great some hasnt.

this next piece is the cover underneath the rear seat where the fuel pump wires go through. why did i make this?? well just for looks, since im going to be running stripped interior and it wasnt a difficult part.

everything was coming out great till i applied the UV protectant. it didnt come out like other CF parts u buy .. the finish wasnt really smooth as for example a CF hood. it is glossy and from distance u can tell its all smooth.. but if u get really up close u can see some roughness/dryness (**** i dont know how to explain it). lol

well here goes the pics:

in the next pic you can tell the finish and kinda understand wut im talkin about. tho this was before the last coat.

take in mind im trying out stuff that i can get in hardware stores and local places. i have some other finish coats that i wanna try. if everything turns out good later on. i can go head and play like the rich bois lol and get me the good stuff

Mods again if you feel like this dont belong here u can move it.. i posted it here since it a EF part only too

making a female mold and coating it with gel coat and then using release wax on it will result in smooth surface. try to use vacuumseal if you can along with a owen.
looks great nevertheless.

Ya, those aluminum fuel pump sending unit covers are really heavy, and could possibly break, definatly worth all the effort to make one

Of course. Aluminum is the heaviest metal, afterall.

Seriously...the stock piece weighs under a pound.
