Default I need a quick answer...

okay, well this isnt about a honda, but i dont go to any other forums and i need the answer quick. well my friend got a 82 280zx nissan. and he says that when he's driving at about 4000 rpms, the car feels like its gonna change gears, but it just losses power, and then the power jumps back up and losses it again. what could be the problem guys? any ideas would be helpful

It might be igntion or fuel related.

ignition as in timing? cuase it fires up, its just that when it gets up to those rpms it losses pwer as i described
