More parking lot trouble
As though I haven't had enough trouble in the recent months with my CW wheels getting stolen out of my truck in a University parking lot, I now take my girlfrind shopping last night and I come back only to find that someone had backed into my car. It must have been a really tall truck becauseit scraped the top of my rear bumper and pushed in that panel above the rear bumper and cracked the taillight. I'm not even sure if this is gonna be worth reporting to the insurance since I had a claim from my sister just recently, I would hate for my ins. to skyrocket. Besides, it won't be that much more than my deductible. I have to get that panel fixed with my body guy, but does anyone know where I can find a used tailight online and which years have the same model headlight in case I find one.
Thanks in advance

We use http://www.planetsalvage.com. You put the part in that you want and they search all over the U.S for your part. Then salvage yards bid prices for the part and you can pick who you want to purchase the part from. I have had really good luck from them so far.
That sucks - looks like you'll have to park at the far side of the lot from now on. I always try to find spots in corners so that only one side and the rear are exposed.
Thats usually what I do but It just so happened that the mall was jam packed last night. I always park away in the back where there are no other cars. There weren't any cars next to me but who knows how it happened. I was only in there for a half hour.
BTW, thanks for the info 492, I'll give them a try

I'm with ya. 3 weeks ago in my own parking lot of my apartment my window got smashed. And now 2 days ago at school someone dented my door. The dent is like 1.5 feet long and 6 inches high. I feel for ya.

Oh yea, and try to park next to nicer cars, they're more careful too. (Except for those frickin' soccer moms
