you can drop it right in the exact same way u took it out and it will work. use your Si dizzy and the harness & injectors off your Si motor

Its exactly the same as putting in another stock motor into your rex.. Only difference is you need a bigger alternator belt and the CKF sensor is a obd2 thing and you dont need it..

I just did this swap a couple weeks ago

-alternator belt is larger
-don't swap on your smaller crank pulley, use the one on the Y8
-use your A6 intake manifold
-you have to wire the coolant fan switch from the thermostat housing on the Y8 to your Si wiring harness because they're not in the same place. But it's still just two wires, interchangeable, it doesn't matter, just as long as it's wired up.
-make sure to use the driver's side mount off your A6 on the Y8, you'll have to cut the timing belt cover to make it fit back on.
-don't bother with the crank angle sensor or the knock sensor if you're sticking with your Si wiring harness and ECU.

There's a crap load of detailed instructions on many different websites for this swap, you just have to look.

Crank angle sensor is in the distributor. You need it.

That's how it's done.

I'm sure he meant the crank fluctuation sensor.

Do a nice neat job, make it look like it belongs there, not a butcher job.

You can't use the Y8 tranny unless you are a madman and like lots of fab work and crap to make the hydro tranny fit and work.

a6 IM is just easier to use. i think the IACV's are different. maybe they will still work if u have the engine harness on the y8. just swap plugs onto the obd0 harness. the a6 (obd-0) IACV won't fit the y8 IM, different bolt spacing.

use the obd0 distributor.

you can use the y8 tranny if u get a EF/B-series trans braket and convert ur car to hydro or eaiser way convert tranny to cable. company makes one but they never emailed me back with a price, i plan on making my own.

Im doing a d16z in a 88 EE4(awd wagon) I wanna keep the power steering so can I swap all the pulleys from the d16 and swap em on my Z.?? I would also like to keep the Alt from the new motor,so I was thinking to use the pulley from the ef alt and drop it on the d16z. Anybody got a opinion on this? Will this work.

You think a B-series bracket is going to bolt to a D-series tranny?
No wonder they never emailed you back.
