Default New to Honda

Hello all! I just joined Honda-Tech.com, since I just bought a 1990 CRX Si. I know a lot about Mitsu, since my first car was an Eclipse GSX....but my Honda knowledge is a bit off. I'm planning a swap for my CRX, since it has the stock engine. I'm just wondering what options I have open. A B16 or B18 seems like a good choice, but I don't want to get into changing ODB over, though I would like to have VTEC. Any suggestions?

Well you can get a 1st gen b16 and stay obd0.. Just run a pr3 ecu.. You have to add some wires for the vtec and o2 sensor heater but its pretty easy..

Instead of getting an engine swap why not do what we all do to our Hondas..."BOOST IT"..

Nothing. My preference is b series.
If i was in his shoes that's what I would do.
btw i got smoked one night by a d16 turbo.
My b16 was stock. That **** won't happen again.

I am building a b18c5 turbo right now but you can still get alot of power out of a d series.. I know what you mean about d-series turbos.. I burned a guy with a b18c5 swap in a hatch and he was none too happy about it..

Where are you from if you dont mind me asking?
