Default lean minime trouble

Hi there,
I've search/read a lot but could not find info for my trouble so here it is :

I've made a mini-me y7/y8, with dc sport 4-2-1 header, aem cold air intake.
I'm running it with a SI(b16a2) ecu OBD2B, passed wires for the vtec, oil pressure swtich, knock and change for the 2wire iac.
I'm running the y8 tranny.
vtec is working perfectly.

I have a p28 ecu with a 0bd2-obd1 adapter but there seems to be a trouble with is so it is not install yet.

I have a autometer air/fuel ratio and a fuel pressure regulator.

my problem is that the car is running really lean a WOT.
my fuel pressure is at 36. I've tried to raise it, it was better a bit but still went lean at higher rpm (5500 +) at 50psi fuel pressure.

any idea of what my problem could be?

could it be a bad timing?(it was done by a professionnal but)
maybe a deffective cat?
what else?

thanks

Some one else I know had the same trouble but it seem solved now.

I ran y7 injectors on the y8 fuel rail.
i did the same.

I was told they were the same, can someone confirm me that there is a difference in the two?
