Default Help with DPFI to MPFI conversion ! ! !

Hey...

I have all of the wiring done. I am just finishing up the Manifold install. I'm just a little confused about the 2 coolant lines coming out of the EACV and a vaccum line coming off the firewalll. It is a ZC Manifold and Throttle body installed in an 88 hatch DX.

Please take a look at the pictures below and let me know what to do... if you have any pics of a correct install that would be great too.

Here is the Back of the Intake Manifold:

Here is the Throttle Body:

So far this is what I have found... and not found:

1. Smaller port (top of TB) = vacuum line to Map Sensor
2. Larger port (top of TB) = red braided line to Charcoal Canister
3. Larger Port (bottom of TB >> leads into bottom of EACV) = connects to ???
4. Larger Port (bottom of EACV) = connects to ???
5. A second vacuum line coming out of a small can next to Map Sensor on firewall = connects to ???

Thanks alot for any info you can offer!

run the red hose to the top left (the one that's curved) connection on the tb
run the short vacuum hose to the small connection on the right top of the tb
run the long vacuum hose to anywhere on the intake manifold. you might have to T into one of the vacuum lines

i forgot exactly where the iacv hose goes, but i think there should be a connection right next to the heater hose, just under the intake manifold on the back of the engine block.

what he said

the top lines are the vacum lines for ur MAP and purge solenoid

the two lines on the IACV for coolant goes to the block (by the thermostat and the collant line for the heater, theres a small nipple there) and the other should go to the back on the coolant tube on the back of the block..... it should be another nipple there

Okay... I think know about the two connections you are talking about. But those connections were orininally connected to a different coolant tube (the tube attached to a second tube running from the air intake to the engine). I'm goint to try it out and see what happens... hopefully it all works out. I'll come back and let you know. Thanks again for all the help!
