anyone know about D2's coilovers?

they are made in taiwan, which usually scares people away, but they seem very well built when it comes to quality from the initial viewing...a guy i know has them.
i was tempted to get a set, as they can be had for around $700 (my price)
but i decided not to, because i dont think i need coilovers at this stage. they are monotubes.
