WTB: Kawasaki 250R / 500R
hey guys, seems the classifieds move way too fast, so just seeing if anyone has either of the two they are getitng rid of. I think I'd prefer the 500R but if anyone is moving up from a 250 i may be interested in that, depending on price, condition, and location. May consider a katana600 or cbr600, but would rather have something small and less expensive.
located in ohio, but willing to drive some ways.
please email me for fastest response, or just post up! thanks a lot!

have you owned either ?
only problem i have with the 250 (besides everyone say you'll grow out of it in a week) is that they are brand new $3000 or so, and yet you see them going used for $2600... Just think prices could be a little lower... but thanks for the websites.
anyone hae one for sale?

the Ninja 250 is wildly popular as a starter bike. very few manufacturers have a 250cc with a "sportbike" seating position. this is what helps keep their value up.
i dont know ANYONE personally that can outride a 250 Ninja. sorry, but take the best rider you know and stick him on one with Max Biaggi on another one and see who outruns who. someone will quickly want more power, but few ever outgrow the bike.
it's more fun and respectable to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow.
to add to your confusion, consider the Suzuki GS500F, SV650 and SV650S, Bandit 600, Yamaha YZF-600R, and Kawasaki ZZR-600. all of these are somewhat "yesteryear bikes" that used to be the top of their game but possess a tameness that is manageable by someone new to riding despite their 600cc class designation. they have manageable power bands with a little kick at the very top-end for you to play with once your get the basics down. their chassis are also very forgiving as you learn to corner more efficiently.

my friend is sellin his 95 ninja 250 for like $2000. it has ridiculously low miles and is in nearly mint condition. I think it has less than 5k on it. Ill see him this weekend. let me know and ill talk to him for ya. BTW, were located in Northern Ohio
thanks man, if you can have him email me pictures or just to give me some more specs that would be great...thanks for keeping your eye out!
