Default Type R buildup from Scratch... phase 7.. comming to life *NO 56K*

Well dosent look like she will be ready for the car show this weekend.. but sometime taking your time is the best thing to do.. For the past week ive been assembling the motor and hooking everything up. Honestly, this must be one of the most confusing set ups ever done,, there is so many heater hoses going places its unreal... thank god I did it myself so I know where everything goes...

I am gonna try to get it started up tomo... or latest monday.. and be on the road in about a week or so......

When I got her: 3 MONTHS AGO

After about 50 hours: LOTS OF SANDING

Add another 12 hours: ZINC PRIMMED RAD SUPPORT WELDED

Umm 15 hours later: PRIMMED AND PREPPED ENGINE BAY AND INTERIOR

5 hours later: NICE BASE COAT/CLEAR COAT,, look at that shine!

only 5-6 hours in and its started to look like a car again!.... Gas tank, break lines, wire harness, master break, clutch, pedals, subframe, suspension........ time to go home!

another 8 hours... I HATE BREAK LINES

And shes off for paint.. Ill miss the multicoloured look! NOT

5 damm weeks later... ahhhhhh oh well its life!
clean and silky (still not buffed)

still lots of work ahead of me

Umm windows are in....All bran new! so much $$$

Wohoo its comming together, interior is almost done!

Towed to my other friends garage (ADtuning) so he can help me out with the motor!
The car now had a red heart.....installing a motor and making sure not to scratch the engine bay was a pain in the assssss

Trial set up with the water cooler,, damm thats a tight fit!

Umm looks sexy!

The final set up

Looks like an intercooler... NOT its a heat exchanger

Now I just have to install my water reservoir tank and water line,, then I think she can be fired up!
WISH ME LUCK
Tyler

breaks roaters have not been driven on in over a year and thats the cleanest the bottom end is getting,,, quebec winters kill these cars...
but this one will never get the chance to see it!

The front mount is actually a fluidyne heat exchanger. I remember when we took that kit off my buddies car, that thing does it's job very well so I hope you enjoy it.

Holly crap.... you have like a Ph.D. in DC2R now or sumthin!!

Explain the color thing to me tho... it started off as a black shell, then for some reason parts of it went yellow, then white... and finally ended up white (which would be my color of choice BTW).... why did it go thru all these phases?

Clean the engine now... es too greasy

I love this thread. You are awsome for bringing that out of a junk yard to what it is now. That car probably would have been scrapped and you brought it back and restored it. Uber props!
