ok, so i bought a crx and it didn't have an odometer and now i need to get the car smogged. only problem is that the car is suppose to have 180k+ miles on it but the odometer only reads 50k miles. so when i get it smogged they're going to write down 50k, wouldn't the dmv find this to be an odometer rollback or sumthin? what's going to happen?

 

it will just show that it isnt the actuall milage, you should be fine and if they ask, just tell them the speedometer broke so you replaced the whole cluster. i bought my car with 215 on the OD in dec of '02. i ran a carfax and it said it had 256 in '01 then two months later it had 174 on it. all it said is that there is a milage descrepancy, possobly a rollback. you will be fine with a different cluster.
