blue tooth in car...who's got it?

i just got the alpine cda-9827 and an 8in powered bazooka tube for the hatchy. i read you can use the nokia 6810i with the headunit using the bluetooth thing. i was wondering if anyone uses bluetooth in there car? i use my cell phone a lot, whether it be in or out of the car. i really dont like talking on the phone while driving, especially through traffic which is a lot around here...so im looking to add the bluetooth stuff to it..

anyway, any bit of input would be great. im trying to explore my options..rather than just a hands-free set.

you have to get a phone that is blue tooth ready and then it will work wireless through the deck. I'm not sure of the exact setup but that's the short and skinny of it

as far as I know you actually have to get the MobileLink from alpine, and it's not blue tooth... it's a direct connect cradle (as far as my understanding.. though it might be blue tooth and I just haven't been filled in on that). It's an Ai-Net plug-in unit (plugs in the changer port) and that MobileLink works with that Nokia phone. The head unit by its self can't do anything with the phone. This feature first came out on last years 1.3 din flip out alpines with the total phone control button things (the numbers 0 to 9, *, #, phone book, send/dial, and hang-up).

well i am plannin to buy the same unit u got ... the Alpine CDA-9827 (i love that thing) will it run wit anything other then nokia if u buy a link?! i got a Sony Ericcson damn forgot the model number but it is the blue 1...

and also bm3r wat speakers u got?!? and how does it sound?!?! also do u know if the Infinity Kappa3.5i work good wit the head unit!

Nope, it only works with that one model of Nokia... I've found it on ebay for like $250. As far as I know it's the only one that works with it (all info via Alpine's website and/or other sources)
