Default No Luck With Dealers....=(

I hope some of you remember my problem with the noises when I turn the steering wheel. When I went to have the dealerships look at it, of course I couldn't duplicate the sound. It seems to happen when the it's been sitting cold for a while. I've decided to try to solve the problem myself. Could someone elaborate further on the procedures to get rid of the sound. Thanks!

Also, I just purchased a spoon sports drop in filter, and after reading about the comptech filter, I noticed that my spoon did not come oiled. What should I purchase to oil it? Why does it not come pre-oiled? My old K&N for my GSR did...

Thanks again for all of your help fellas.

I had the same problem you are describing with my steering... noises when cold. I took it to the dealer and it was fixed under warranty - just a steering bushing that needed lubrication. They said that happens all the time...

I don't have the Spoon filter, I have the Comptech, so I don't know about it specifically but I use Uni Filter Cleaner and Uni Filter Oil. you can order from Comptech or find some at a local motorcycle shop...

Is the bushing easy to lubricate? I'd like to try to do it myself instead of taking it to the dealer again. They talk to me like I don't know what the R is just because I'm a female.

Shouldn't the filters come pre-oiled?
Is the comptech and spoon foam filters similar? I don't want to use the wrong kind of oil...

Haha... Stick to the subject.
Anyone else have a spoon filter that wasn't oiled?
Anyone else have any information about how to lube the bushings?

Two whole hours, and nobody's responded humorously to a post from a female ITR owner asking about lubing the bushings?
