70/30 taillight conversion??
ok the conversion im trying to explain is for the del sol..its where the top is all red and the bottom clip is clear... a couple questions ..how do u do it..i know u use altezzas? correct? but what kind of paint to use to paint it red..is it illigal...if u have any pictures please post..itll be goin on a lexus graphite gray pearl sol..think itll look good with that color or will carbon fiber altezzas look better..iuno thanks though..i dont really wana go with the cf altezzas..cause altezzas are quite ricey
You need 1st Gen Altezza's and then you tape off the part you want to stay clear. Go get some red tint spray and spray them. Untape the part you taped off, then spray them with some clear coat.
there are 50/50's made for the civic's. i don't think there are any altezza's like the 1st gen del sol's.
you can just paint your stock taillights all red, and leave the reverse unpainted.

go to a wal-mart near you and go to the toy section and pick up a can of candy apple red paint by the toy model cars area (the bottle of paint is small but should be enough for both lights). me and all my buddies use it and it is great.

i painted my hatch's lights. it has held together very well. I used the Candy apple transpparent red spray paint. it is found at model and craft stores. Like someone said before, the can is small but it will be plenty for your lights./
when you brake, the light that gives off still is a circle and looks like altezza's, try doing the 50/50 conversion that uses altezza's clear upper half lense and your stock sol tailights.

Am i the only one that thinks that looks like ****? Looks weird, especially with the red on top of the white.

instead of getting the altezza, why don't you try to find ALL clear tails for your sol and just paint the top half red? that way you wont have the red circles light up when you brake from the 'tezzas.
thats what i did on my coupe back in the day when i had the all clears
