whistling noise....HELP!
Hey I need help, I'm experiencing a high pitch whistling noise coming from the motor on passenger side. I had thought it was the axels, because i did need to change that.. but after it's been fixed, i'm still hearing the same high pitch noise. it get's louder and louder every time i accelerate. it's not the intake... it's BONE STOCK.. HELP..
when you hear the whining whistling noise..right then try taking out your deck..i thoguht it was the motor but it waslinked to the speakers/deck..once i did that with the noise going..it went away..not sure if its your problem but that was the solution for me..as for wrecked my teg..sounds like its your intake..
might be a bad ground on your speakers.. especially if they are aftermarket..(if so choose a new grounding point)
crank your stereo and if the noise gets much louder by doing so.. well then..
when it happened to me the noise level gets higher with RPM and cranking the stereo volume indicated it was a speaker.

Yeah if you have your power cable from your audio too close to your speaker wires you will hear the squeeling noise caused from the alternator, so the more you accel, the louder the belt moves making it louder, turn off your deck completely and see if thats it. People previously mentioned it but yeah it's probably it.

Not your brake squeeler? If it's a wheel bearing you'll have to go have someone take it out and press a new one in. It will probably be way cheaper if you take the knuckle off yourself and take just that down to a machine shop with a new bearing and probably hub as well.
its pretty easy to tell if its a wheel bearing, you can kind of hear the sound osccilate. It might be a brake shield hitting the wheel or the rotor. Get in there and find out man.
bro it could be your throttle body.... stock or not stock after a while (or the initial break in period) the Integra's TB starts to "whistle" at a certain RPM. It's does this when the TB is at a certain angle.
i use this as my "change oil" sound. my teg whistles around 31k and it's pretty distinct. when it's louder than usual at 31k (or slightly higher) i know that i'm using more gas/air and thus, i need an oil change...
like it said... this could it, or it might be something else.
good luck

I'm not a bro.. i'm a sis.. by the way if you are responding to me.. it can't be beacuse i need an oil change.. I change it every 2500 miles with synthetic.

my mistake.... sorry.... also the TB makes this sound occasionally, usauly louder on mine when "I" need an oil change. not implying you need an oil change. you said that it makes this noise when u accelerate. lister to it and try to find out the certain RPM that it starts to "whistle".
